CTOnews.com, June 21 (Xinhua) Apple launched a $3499 Vision Pro headset a few weeks ago that allows users to experience augmented reality and virtual reality content. For many users who wear glasses, their biggest concern is that myopia can use Vision Pro.

One of the highlights of Vision Pro is that it can be equipped with optical plug-ins (optical inserts) made by Zeiss, a German camera and lens company, that is, prescription lenses tailored for users. These lenses can be magnetically attached to Vision Pro's custom micro-OLED 4K display to provide a clear visual effect.

Now that the appearance of the prescription lenses has leaked out, there is a dynamic picture on Zeiss's website showing how the lenses are installed on Vision Pro.

Ideally, Zeiss's optical plug-in does not affect the display quality of the Vision Pro itself and the sensitivity of eye tracking, which is important for operating and navigating in VisionOS. In addition, if Zeiss can use anti-glare materials to make these plug-ins, it can reduce the excessive reflection between the glass layers.

At present, some companies on the market, such as Meta and Snapchat, offer customized prescription lenses for more than $100 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 718 yuan). The price of Vision Pro prescription lenses has not yet been announced and may not be known until the official release of Vision Pro early next year. But given Apple's exorbitant pricing of its Vision Pro and its pricing strategy for accessories, the prescription lens is expected to be expensive.
