CTOnews.com, June 21 (Xinhua) according to a report by Group-IB, an international cyber security company, the personal information of more than 100000 ChatGPT users has been leaked and hackers are selling it on a secret network trading platform.

Group-IB took an in-depth look at the dark web data and counted the ChatGPT user information found on the dark network between June 2022 and May this year, and found that it peaked in May this year, selling 26802 ChatGPT user messages.

CTOnews.com Note: the report points out that the Asia-Pacific region has the most information. By region, there are 40999 articles in the Asia-Pacific region, 24925 in the Middle East and Africa and 16951 in Europe.

By country, most of the data comes from India (12632 records), Pakistan (9217 records) and Brazil (6531 records). Data from chatbot users from Vietnam, Egypt, the United States, France, Morocco, Indonesia and Bangladesh also appeared on the dark web.

The analysis also shows that most records (78348 records) were stolen by using Raccon malware to steal information provided as a malware as a service, followed by Windows spyware and stealth tool Vidar.
