CTOnews.com June 21, Microsoft recently admitted that Outlook has BUG, which will get stuck on the open screen page, and now the company has released a solution.

Microsoft said the BUG was caused by synchronizing the entire offline data file (.ost) during startup, which could occur in Outlook in flight mode and other usage scenarios.

The official Microsoft description is attached to CTOnews.com as follows:

Outlook may synchronize the entire OST at startup, causing loading to take a lot of time. Outlook may stay on the splash screen for a long time before entering the application.

Solution: 1. Open the registry

3. Select RestUpdatesForCalendar and assign it to 1

4. Restart the computer.

Another way: another solution is to display the specified REST status in the Outlook account settings. This is done by toggling shared Calendar improvements off and on:

Notice that enable shared Calendar improvement is turned on.

Turn it off and then reopen it immediately.

Click OK.

Outlook may warn that it needs to be restarted. Users can restart it according to their needs.

Click "X" to close the Exchange account Settings dialog box.

Click close.
