CTOnews.com Projector is usually the most cost-effective option for those who want to create the ultimate entertainment space, but Samsung's just-launched 98-inch QLED TV may change that and bring a whole new experience to your home theater.

The 98-inch Samsung QLED 4K TV (98 Q80C), the latest addition to Samsung's 2023 TV line, will be available for $8000 (CTOnews.com note: currently about 57440 yuan) in early July. Unlike last year's QN100B 98-inch Neo QLED TV, an extension of the high-end QN90B series, this new product is a size extension of the affordable Q80C series.

The Q80C is powered by Samsung's neural quantum processor and can boost anything to 4K resolution. It supports visual standards such as HDR and HDR10 +, as well as audio standards such as Dolby Atmos. Q80C Samsung's object-tracking sound technology can match audio to what users are watching, enhancing immersion. Users can access major streaming services such as Disney +, Hulu, Apple TV+, Prime Video and Netflix directly from their TV. You can also play cloud games using services like Xbox Game Pass, Amazon Luna or Nvidia GeForce Now.

While it doesn't feature Mini LED technology, the 98-inch Samsung QLED 4K TV still offers an option for those seeking a larger screen experience. More importantly, it's the first large size TV that users might actually be able to afford, after all, the QN100B's $40,000 price tag limits it to luxury consumers. LG's $25,000 97-inch G2 OLED TV is equally expensive, keeping it out of the general consumer's sight. Not that $8000 is cheap, but more people can afford it than Samsung's $40,000 Neo QLED TV of the same size.

The Q80C will be Samsung's cheapest 98-inch TV, but if you want this size and are on a tighter budget, the TCL 98R754 costs just $5,000.

Samsung has also launched a promotion where users who book now will receive a $500 credit line to use on Samsung.com Orders from July 3 through July 23 will receive an additional $1000 off and a complimentary Samsung Q Series stereo as well as free shipping and installation.
