CTOnews.com, June 21 (Xinhua)-- Apple announced that starting from July this year, it will adjust the Today tab on the App Store to give ads a more compact look that no longer requires scrolling to be fully visible.

The new ad format will include the applied icon, name and subtitle, as well as the Advertising label and the get button.

Apple said it needs to run new ads on iOS 16.4 and later iPhone, and will not display ads on the Today tab in iOS 16.3 and earlier. Existing advertising owners do not need to do anything and will automatically switch to the new view in July.

Apple says ads will no longer have custom graphics, a format that can speed up the approval process, and that the new compact format will be more effectively distinguished from existing unsponsored content.
