CTOnews.com June 20 news, China Unicom issued the latest announcement: as of May 2023, the group's "big connection" users have reached a total of about 918 million, 5G package users have reached about 230 million, and Internet of things terminal connections have reached about 433 million.

CTOnews.com Note: cumulative arrivals of "large connection" users = cumulative arrivals of mobile billing users + cumulative arrivals of fixed-line broadband users + cumulative arrivals of fixed-line local telephone users + cumulative arrivals of Internet of things terminal connections + cumulative arrivals of network dedicated line users.

In May this year, the number of virtual private network service customers in China Unicom's 5G industry was 5325. In that month, the problem resolution rate of intelligent customer service was 97.5%, and that of intelligent customer service accounted for 83.7% in that month. The cumulative number of authorized patents this year is 907.

For comparison, in April, China Unicom had a total of 908.956 million "big connection" users, 227.038 million 5G package users, and 424.12 million Internet of things terminal connections; and in terms of "innovative applications", the company had 4818 customers of virtual private network services in the 5G industry.

At present, the three major operators have released the latest operating data as of May this year, in terms of the number of 5G package customers:

China Mobile: 706.95 million households

China Telecom: 290.6 million households

China Unicom: 179.7 million households
