CTOnews.com June 20 news, China Telecom is now releasing May's major operating data announcement.

According to the announcement, the number of China Telecom mobile subscribers has reached 401.12 million, with a net increase of 930000 in that month; the number of cable broadband subscribers has reached 185.65 million, with a net increase of 830000 in the same month; and the number of fixed telephone subscribers decreased by 390000 in the same month.

At present, China Mobile and China Unicom have not released the latest operating data. For reference, CTOnews.com attached the April data to show the comparison:

For China Telecom, there was a net increase of 1.49 million mobile users in April 2023, a net increase of 9.01 million in the previous April, and 400.19 million mobile users by the end of April. Among them, there was a net increase of 4.02 million 5G package users in April and 287.23 million 5G package users by the end of April.

In terms of China Mobile, in terms of mobile business, there was a net increase of 25000 customers in April, with a total of 982.783 million customers and 698.81 million 5G package customers as of April 2023. In terms of cable broadband service, there was a net increase of 1.891 million customers in April and a total of 282.782 million customers as of April 2023.

As for China Unicom, as of April 2023, in terms of "Universal Zhaopin", the company had a total of 908.956 million users of "Big connection", 227.038 million users of 5G packages, 424.12 million terminal connections of the Internet of things, and "innovative applications". The company has 4818 customers of virtual private network services in the 5G industry.

In the first quarter of 2023, the three major operators achieved a total operating income of about 477.7 billion yuan and a net profit of about 38.3 billion yuan, continuing the steady growth trend since last year. Among them, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom achieved operating income of 250.746 billion yuan, 129.753 billion yuan and 97.222 billion yuan respectively, up 10.31%, 9.43% and 9.21% respectively over the same period last year, and realized net profits of 28.067 billion yuan, 7.984 billion yuan and 2.266 billion yuan respectively, up 9.53%, 10.53% and 11.56% respectively over the same period last year.
