The conference released a new generation of visual system based on China Southern Airlines virtual image display technology and Tencent self-developed game engine technology, which achieved a breakthrough in the key technologies of the self-developed visual system, completed the intergenerational upgrade of the flight simulator visual system, and provided more efficient and safer flight training for more than 80,000 civil aviation pilots.

Safety is the lifeline of civil aviation industry and an important foundation for the sustainable development of civil aviation operation. China Southern Airlines has always been committed to scientific and technological innovation, putting the most advanced and cutting-edge scientific and technological forces into flight safety operation, building seven safety systems, and establishing China Southern Airlines Flight Safety Research Institute. To organize and carry out the development of domestic high-level flight simulators based on the training system with Chinese characteristics, the research and practical management of evidence-based training of non-technical core competency in the whole life cycle of pilots driven by multi-source data, and the research and development of visual system of high-level flight training equipment. And set up the first provincial and ministerial platform in China to focus on aviation training equipment simulation and safety research: Guangdong Aviation training system Engineering Technology Research Center, which exports "Chinese Wisdom" and "Chinese Standard" of flight training safety management.

The first batch of super-realistic high-grade visual system developed by the laboratory has also been officially released. The visual system includes two domestic industrial-level software, "full solution of virtual image display system" and "hyperrealistic visual engine" and "intelligent visual modeling". The project results are in the international advanced level as a whole, and the modeling and rendering of high-level visual simulation engine and high optical performance virtual image display technology have reached the international leading level. Based on a series of technical capabilities such as self-developed game engine and self-developed virtual image display technology, China has become the third country in the world to independently develop a complete visual system.

Yang Yuanyuan, former director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said in his speech that the establishment of the "China Southern Airlines-Tencent" aviation safety and simulation research laboratory to promote aviation safety through scientific and technological innovation will inject new impetus into civil aviation safety work.
