CTOnews.com June 20, Nikon recently released a 4.0 firmware update for the Z9 camera. In its introduction video, it is shown in 1 minute 42 seconds that the automatic shooting (Auto Capture) function will be updated to log in to the Z8 camera in the future.

Nikon later adjusted the video to remove the description that the auto-shooting function would log on to the Z8 camera, but it is not clear why.

Some photography enthusiasts believe that Nikon is trying to boost sales of the Z9 camera. The performance of the Z9 is similar to that of the Z8, which lags slightly behind in ergonomics, continuous shooting and battery life, but is $1500 cheaper.
