CTOnews.com, June 20 (Xinhua)-- Japanese carmaker Subaru today announced the development of Japan's first driving assistance system, MT EyeSight, which is used to manually block cars. The system is planned to be first used in a modified version of the sports car BRZ, which goes on sale this fall.

▲ Tuyuan Subaru website EyeSight, developed by Subaru itself, became the world's first driving assistance system with pre-collision braking in the full speed range in 2010. The MT EyeSight is specifically developed for manual cars and supports pre-collision braking, cruise control with tracking, lane departure / rocking warning, front departure notification, distance detection with rear sonar warning and other functions like automatic cars.

However, because the manual gear can not automatically control the shift gear, although MT EyeSight supports pre-collision braking until the car stops completely, it also has some prerequisites. For example, car owners need to set a constant speed cruise to 30 km / h or higher (2-6 gears), and the system is not equipped with steering assistance to restrain lane deviation like automatic gear.

As the BRZ sports car accounts for 60% of the manual gear, Subaru is currently the main manual gear model, so Subaru decided to first apply it to the improved BRZ model on sale this fall. At present, the price of the BRZ manual transmission model in Japan starts at 3.08 million yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 182000 yuan).
