CTOnews.com June 20, last year, Apple released the iPadOS 16 update, focusing on the introduction of the pre-stage scheduling function; in the upcoming iPadOS 17 system, Apple further optimized the front-stage scheduling.

Citing Apple's official press release, iPadOS 17 gives users more flexibility to adjust the position and size of windows scheduled in front of the stage, giving users more control over the workspace, while also supporting a built-in camera with an external monitor.

The iPadOS 17 system greatly enhances the experience of front-stage scheduling. Although it is not as flexible as macOS, it is a big improvement over version 1.0.

Apple has also introduced a macOS-side experience that allows users to click the application icon to add a new window to the workspace by pressing Shift.

During the WWDC 2023, Apple also detailed that the iPadOS 17 can be used with a USB webcam or microphone connected through a USB-C port.

Developers will be able to leverage these accessories in their applications with the new API available in iPadOS 17 SDK. Combined with these improvements, it provides users with a better multitasking experience when using iPad.

Foreign science and technology media 9to5Mac believes that the iPadOS 17 front dispatch still lacks a flip mode, so with an ordinary laptop, you can plug it into an external monitor, keyboard and mouse, and then close the lid to use it as a desktop. But on the iPad, even with these accessories, you must always turn on the built-in screen.
