CTOnews.com news on June 19, June 19, Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Group, and Shen Ziyu, chairman and CEO of Star Meizu, announced at the headquarters of Jixing Automobile in Shanghai that Geely's high-end electric car brand Jixing and Star Meizu Company had formed a joint venture "Polar China".

Shen Ziyu will be fully responsible for the business development of Ji Xing Motor in the Chinese market in order to accelerate the transformation of Ji Xing Automobile into an intelligent technology company.

CTOnews.com noted that the newly established Polar China is a "domestic company" jointly owned by Polar Global and Star Meizu, with 51 per cent of Star Meizu and 49 per cent of Polar Motor. The two parent companies will empower the brand: Starry Meizu will provide software research and development capabilities and will create Polestar OS, an intelligent system star for the Chinese market, to enhance the localization of Polar cars at the software level. Star Motors will put the original Chinese team into it and undertake the operation of the brand in the Chinese market.

At the press conference, Thomas Ingerat, CEO of Star Global, revealed the delivery schedule of the follow-up models of the Polar Star brand: pure electric high-performance sedan SUV Polar 4 will be delivered from 2023 to 2024, luxury high-performance electric four-door sedan superstar 5 will be mass produced in 2025, and luxury pure electric two-door convertible superstar 6 will be launched soon.
