CTOnews.com June 19 news, SK Hynix has almost monopolized the fast-growing DDR5 DRAM market. The industry believes that with the postponement of Samsung Electronics and Micron DDR5 DRAM, SK Hynix's dominant position in this field will continue until next year.

The Chaoyi Daily quoted industry sources as saying that the yield of SK Hynix 1a (CTOnews.com Note: fourth-generation 10nm, 14nm) DDR5 DRAM products is as high as 90%, much higher than that of competitors.

He said that the DDR5 DRAM market, which is considered to be one of the biggest battlegrounds for memory semiconductor companies this year, is focused on high-capacity products such as 128GB DDR5 for servers, while Samsung Electronics and Micron are currently unable to produce 128GB DDR5 high-capacity DRAM products. SK Hynix supplies 100% of the market in this area.

SK Hynix was able to dominate the DDR5 market so early because it achieved high yield earlier than competitors such as Samsung Electronics and Micron. A person familiar with SK Hynix said, "by the one-year standard, the yield of SK Hynix has reached the golden rate." We have reached a stage, "he explained.
