However, Li Xiang then changed his words and said in response to netizens' comments, "I was really determined to cut the ideal L7 car line in September last year." Li Xiang finally decided to keep the ideal L7 because a number of senior managers firmly opposed Li Xiang's judgment and "United to beat me."

Li also said on Weibo that at the beginning of the year he insisted that the annual sales and supply target be based on 306000 vehicles, because at first he thought the economic environment this year was not very optimistic, and that he had failed to meet the budget target in the past three years. At the same time, most management teams agree that sales targets should be set at 360000 vehicles.

As a result of such a "wrong decision", the number of orders placed with suppliers at the beginning of the year obviously failed to keep up with current sales, and it will take more than a quarter for several key components to increase production from now on.

CTOnews.com previously reported that ideal delivered 28277 new cars in May 2023, an increase of 146 per cent year-on-year. Ideal car delivers more than 20,000 vehicles for three months in a row, while ideal L7 delivers more than 10,000 vehicles for two months in a row. As of May 31, 2023, the cumulative delivery volume of ideal cars is 363876. The ideal L7 is positioned as a medium and large 5-seat SUV, which is currently on sale with three configurations with a price range of 31.98-379800 yuan.
