Guo Mingyi said that one of the keys to the success of Vision Pro is ecology, including whether it can be integrated with other Apple hardware products, and the main hardware specifications related to this are Wi-Fi and UWB. The UWB specification adopted by iPhone 15 will be upgraded, and the production process will be upgraded from 16nm to a more advanced 7nm, which will help improve the efficiency of close interaction or reduce power consumption. IPhone 16 may be upgraded to Wi-Fi 7, which will make it easier for Apple to integrate hardware products under the same regional network and provide a better ecological experience.

Guo Mingyi also said that Changdian Technology 2H23 gross profit margin / profit will benefit from the iPhone 15 UWB process upgrade, long-term benefit from Chiplet to become the mainstream design of AI accelerator. The iPhone 15 UWB process will be upgraded from 16nm to a more advanced 7nm, Tepco is a later SiP supplier and this upgrade will help boost profits. In general, if 16nm is upgraded to a more advanced 7nm, the profit margin of the later process is expected to increase by more than 10-20%.

Guo Mingyi said that the MI300 series of AI accelerators recently released by AMD uses Chiplet design, and its survey points out that the next generation of Nvidia H100 AI accelerators will also use Chiplet design.
