CTOnews.com June 19 news, Amazon's game live broadcast platform Twitch recently launched a new plan, allowing the head anchor split ratio from the existing 50 - 50 to 73, in an attempt to ease the dissatisfaction caused by the new rules.

Starting in October, the new Partners Plus program will allow anchors with at least 350 paying subscribers for three consecutive months to receive 70 percent of net revenue (including revenue from subscriptions and rewards), up to $100,000, the company said in a statement on its website. Once the anchor meets this condition, it will enjoy this right for the next 12 months, even if the number of subscribers drops below 350 during this period.

However, data from streaming data analytics firm Streams Charts shows that only about 1000 of the 42000 active streamers on Twitch currently meet this condition, so this rule may not be as far-reaching as Twitch claims.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Twitch had issued new rules in early June that restricted what and how anchors displayed ads and prohibited anchors from syncing live content on rival platforms such as YouTube Live or Mildom. After strong protests from the anchor, Twitch removed the terms the day after the new rules were released, saying it did not want to affect the anchor's ability to generate revenue.
