CFexpress is a new generation of memory card standard launched by the CompactFlash Alliance in 2017. it uses 1 to 8 PCIe 3.0 channels to transmit data in three sizes A, B and C from small to large (Type). The shape of Type B is the same as that of XQD cards, but the CFexpress standard is free and open source.

XQD is a memory card standard launched by Sony in 2011. Sony patented and expensive, uses PCIe2.0 channel, the speed limit is lower than CFexpress, and is currently available for several Nikon microcameras and Sony professional cameras.
