At the 40th China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair International Cross-Border E-commerce Development Forum yesterday, the General Administration of Customs introduced China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports in 2022, saying that China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports exceeded 2 trillion yuan for the first time, reaching 2.1 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.1% over 2021.

Of this total, exports totaled 1.53 trillion yuan, up 10.1 percent, accounting for 6.4 percent of the country's total exports, while imports totaled 527.8 billion yuan, down 0.8 percent, accounting for 2.9 percent of the country's total imports.

Among China's cross-border e-commerce export destinations, the US market accounts for 34.3%, while the UK accounts for 6.5%. Among the import sources, Japan accounts for 21.7% of China's total cross-border e-commerce imports, and the United States accounts for 17.9%.

Of the export goods, consumer goods accounted for 92.8%, of which clothing, shoes and bags accounted for 33.1%, and electronic products such as mobile phones accounted for 17.1%. Among the imported goods, consumer goods accounted for 98.3%, of which cosmetics and toiletries accounted for 28.4%, and food fresh accounted for 14.7%.
