A top Tesla analyst thinks it could be worth more than $100 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 713 billion yuan).

Adam Adam Jonas of Morgan Stanley and his team believe that in the long run, Tesla can produce and store his own solar power to power his supercharging network.

Based on this assumption, they constructed some scenarios, using various estimated percentages of US electric vehicle mileage in 2030, driven by market share of superchargers, average efficiency of 4 miles per kilowatt-hour, and revenue of $0.32 per kilowatt-hour.

They valued these scenarios at a weighted average cost of capital of 9.0 per cent discounted net operating profit after tax of 20 times FY30.

Jonas calculated a variety of possible scenarios and concluded that if Tesla started using his solar devices to power the car charging network, the whole network itself could be worth 100 billion dollars.

This valuation is higher than the market capitalization of many mainstream car companies, such as Hyundai and BMW. It is important to note that this is only the view of one analyst, and many others take a slightly more pessimistic view. However, Adam Jonas is considered one of the best analysts at Morgan Stanley and one of the best analysts in Tesla's field, and his vision has been proved reliable many times before.
