CTOnews.com, June 18, SpaceX will launch the Indonesian communications satellite SATRIA-1 into the geosynchronous transfer orbit on a Falcon 9 rocket at 6: 04 a.m. Beijing time on June 19.

If all goes according to plan, Falcon 9's first stage will return to Earth about 8.5 minutes after liftoff and land on the unmanned ship A Shortfall of Gravitas off the coast of Florida.

According to the SpaceX mission description, the mission is the 12th launch of the booster and has previously carried out four dragon missions to the International Space Station for NASA, including two manned flights and two cargo resupply missions.

It is worth mentioning that SATRIA is an acronym for "Satellite of the Republic of Indonesia", which will be operated by the Indonesian company PSN for the Government of Indonesia and worth about US $550 million (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3.922 billion yuan).

According to the Jakarta Post, the satellite "aims to promote connectivity inclusiveness in the country, providing free Internet access to 150000 public facilities, including schools, district government offices and medical facilities."

According to officials, the throughput of SATRIA-1 has reached 1500 billion bits per second, which is equivalent to three times the capacity of the nine telecommunications satellites currently in use in Indonesia.
