CTOnews.com, June 17, Western Digital issued an announcement on June 13, for example, announcing that My Cloud devices that have not been upgraded to the latest firmware version 5.26.202 from June 15, 2023 will no longer support connecting to cloud services.

Starting June 15, 2023, devices with firmware versions earlier than 5.26.202 will not be able to connect to Western Digital Cloud services. Until the device is updated, users cannot access data on their devices through mycloud.com and My Cloud OS 5 mobile applications, but they can continue to access their data through Local Access.

My Cloud is a cloud service that connects network-attached storage (NAS) devices to Western Digital and allows users to store, access, back up and share media from Web.

Western Digital said there were "critical" vulnerabilities in My Cloud devices before 5.26.202 and My Cloud Home devices before 9.4.1-101, and urged users to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible.
