CTOnews.com, June 17, according to the latest test conducted by YouTube anchor Luke Miani, the performance of Apple M2 Max chip is basically the same as that of M1 Ultra, and even better than the latter in some scenarios, while the graphics performance of M2 Ultra chip is twice that of M1 Ultra.

M2 Max chip Luke Miani tests M2 Max chip. After testing software such as Blender, Final Cut Pro, 3DMark and Rise of the Tomb Raider, it is found that M2 Max chip's performance is basically the same as M1 Ultra, and even better than the latter in some scenarios.

The test results show that the graphics performance of M2 Max chip is better than that of M1 Ultra, but M1 Ultra has more CPU cores and is more competent for the heavy tasks of CPU.

After testing GPU-intensive applications such as Blender 3D and 3DMark, M2 Ultra chips show twice the performance of M2 Max, and double the export speed in Final Cut Pro tests. The test results also show that the GPU performance of M2 Ultra is twice that of M1 Ultra.

Luke Miani believes that the main reason for the significant improvement in M2 Ultra performance is that Apple introduced a new memory controller chip in the M2 series to balance the load between all cores of M2 Ultra.
