"Compared with traditional hyper-convergence, which only supports partial convergence, hardware locking, and high system overhead, virtual machines and containers are usually supported by different platforms or products, Lenovo's full-convergence edge truly realizes 'full convergence'. "Dang Yabin said that in terms of equipment access, Lenovo Edge Cloud not only supports traditional hyper-converged equipment access, but also supports acceleration, security, MEC and other richer edge equipment access. In terms of hardware form, it supports multi-form heterogeneous hardware and diversified computing power such as gateway, industrial control computer, edge server and standard server. In terms of system overhead, it is based on lightweight edge native architecture, which focuses on 1-3 node edge and has lower consumption overhead. In terms of intelligent operation and maintenance, Lenovo Edge Cloud provides lightweight full-stack edge security protection and management functions, supports unattended intelligent operation and maintenance, and provides customers with full-life application management services. In addition, in terms of virtual machine container co-plane, it also realizes the coexistence of virtual machines and containers on the same platform, further reducing the resource and cost overhead brought by multiple platforms.
