According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, the first generation AI large model of Zidong Taichu was released in 2021 and jointly developed by the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Huawei. It claims to be "the world's first 100 billion parameter multimodal large model".

Different from most of the current text-based language models, the Zidong Taichu model takes multimodal technology as the core at the beginning of research and development, and uses more types of data such as picture-sound-text for cross-modal unified representation and learning. the "unified representation" and "mutual generation" of image, text and voice data are realized.

According to reports, Zidong Taichu 2.0 is based on Huawei's full-stack software and hardware platform Teng AI and MindSpore, jointly built by the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wuhan Institute of artificial Intelligence.

On the basis of text, pictures and audio, Zidong Taichu 2.0 can integrate more modal data such as 3D, video and sensing signals, and optimize the functions of voice, video and text fusion cognition and common sense calculation. further "break through the interactive barrier of perception, cognition and decision-making".
