CTOnews.com June 16 news, Alphabet issued a press release today, announcing that the Google Domains domain name has entered a "transitional period" and the related business and assets will be taken over by Squarespace.

In a press release today, Squarespace announced an asset purchase agreement with Alphabet to acquire Google Domains-related businesses and assets, including approximately 10 million domain names that serve millions of customers and are hosted on Google Domains.

Squarespace said that with the help of the Google Domains team, the first priority is to help customers make a smooth transition in the coming months.
