CTOnews.com June 16 news, Didi today announced the progress of the protection of the rights and interests of ride-hailing drivers and launched the "Orange Protection Plan."

In terms of income, data released by Didi show that since 2023, all drivers with a service length of more than 30 hours a month have been drawn to 13% per month, of which more than 50% of drivers have earned less than 15% per month and less than 90% less than 20%.

In addition, in order to enable drivers to avoid losses, Didi paid 440 million yuan in compensation for drivers who took orders on the platform in 2022, including 310 million yuan for empty driving and overtime waiting, and 130 million yuan for unpaid fares paid by passengers.

In terms of medical care, pension and other security, in view of the characteristics of flexible employment, the platform invested subsidies and resources, and jointly launched a number of insurance institutions. For example, the pilot commercial old-age security for drivers, family medical care and accident protection for drivers are supported by subsidies provided by the platform, as well as car insurance direct-connected concessions and supporting provincial insurance services. By the end of last year, more than 200000 masters had participated.

Didi said that since 2023, nearly 200 driver consultation meetings have been held in more than 50 cities across the country, focusing on drivers' concerns about extraction, order dispatch, responsibility, safety and rights protection, party building, trade unions and other issues. The intensity and depth of transparent negotiations will be further increased in the follow-up.
