CTOnews.com June 16 news, Apple recently held WWDC 2023 developer conference, announced the introduction of a new Cinematic API in iOS 17, third-party applications by calling the API, you can let them use the movie effect mode.

Apple says developers call Cinematic APIs in their apps to add professional-grade editing and playback features.

These are the same features used in apps like Final Cut Pro, Photos, and iMovie. For example, this allows your app to change the focal length and aperture in a movie to produce bokeh effects.

Apple says that when this mode is turned on, the iPhone camera can record shallow depth-of-field video and smoothly shift focus, giving the video a movie-like texture.

After shooting a video in Movie Effects mode, you can edit it in the Photos App on iPhone 14 models or other supported devices.

For videos shot in Movie Effects mode, you can adjust the depth and focus of the video in addition to the standard editing operations that apply to all videos.
