CTOnews.com, June 15 (Xinhua) Malaysian Trade Minister Zafrul Abdul Aziz said Malaysia hopes to attract investment from Microsoft and Google to promote Malaysia as a data center hub, Bloomberg reported recently.

Tesla is planning to import electric cars into the Malaysian market and build a network of supercharging stations, while Amazon will invest a total of 255 billion ringgit (39.6 billion yuan) in local cloud computing infrastructure by 2037.

▲ Tuyuan Pexels, according to data released by Malaysia's Investment and Development Authority, attracted 71.4 billion ringgit (110.9 billion yuan) of investment in the first quarter of this year, up 67 percent from a year earlier.

In addition, Malaysia meets about 13% of the world's chip testing and packaging needs, and the country's minister of trade estimates that companies engaged in chip-related industries have provided more than 200 million ringgit (about 311 million yuan) of services to Tesla.
