CTOnews.com, June 15, Canonical announced today that the Ubuntu 22.10 (Kinetic Kudu) operating system version will be discontinued on July 20, 2023, urging users to upgrade to Ubuntu 23.04 (Lunar Lobster) update as soon as possible.
CTOnews.com Note: Canonical released Ubuntu 22.10 on October 20, 2022, and its life span is only 9 months because it is not a long-term supported (LTS) version.
Canonical has issued a reminder one month in advance, recommending that users upgrade to the newer version as soon as possible. After July 20, Canonical will no longer push software and security updates to Ubuntu 22.10 users.
