Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Xiao Zhan cut the clue delivery! CTOnews.com Polish game studio People Can Fly signed an agreement with a major publisher (confirmed to be Microsoft) on June 13 to develop a AAA game codenamed Project Maverick.

The studio, known for developing Bulletstorm and Outriders, is fully funded by Microsoft and has a budget of $30 million to $50 million (CTOnews.com notes: currently about 215 million to 358 million yuan).

People Can Fly has previously worked with Microsoft, releasing Gears of War: Judgment for Xbox 360 consoles in 2013.
