Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, June 15 (Xinhua) according to a report entitled "the Economic potential of generative artificial Intelligence" by consulting firm McKinsey, around 2045, 50% of jobs will be taken over by AI.

▲ Picture Source McKinsey in this report, McKinsey claimed that "the time when AI will replace human work" has been advanced. "the new AI adoption scenario takes into account the development of generative artificial intelligence and simulates the time spent on work activities in 2023. 50% of occupations will be replaced by AI between 2030 and 2060, with a midpoint of 2045, accelerating by about a decade compared with previous estimates."

The ▲ source McKinsey report also shows that the current AI may add "$2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion" to the global economy each year, equivalent to the GDP level of a new country on the planet.

▲ source McKinsey said that to compile the report, McKinsey analysts studied 850 occupations and 2100 detailed work activities in 47 countries to reach a more accurate judgment.

Alex Sukharevsky, a researcher in McKinsey's artificial intelligence division, said, "AI can make these tasks significantly faster and more accurate than they are performed manually today." As a result, it will achieve "0.2% to 3.3% annual productivity growth" for the global economy.

▲ source McKinsey, however, said at the same time, "this will force workers to learn new skills, and some of their careers will have to be changed. If people mobility and other risks are well managed, generative artificial intelligence may make a substantial contribution to economic growth and support a more sustainable and inclusive world." In other words, AI is good for the industry as a whole, but bad for individuals.
