The new car is positioned as a pure electric large SUV with a 7-seat configuration. According to spy photos, the car is still in high camouflage, but details show that the car is not far from official production and is expected to go on sale with sister model Kia EV9 in the fourth quarter of this year.

Motor1 quoted modern officials as saying that the IONIQ 7 will provide a "new spatial dimension": the car will have a wheelbase of up to 126in (3200mm), a high body height and a flat layout.

In the power section, the new car will share the E-GMP platform with Kia, which means that the IONIQ 7 will also have an 800V ultra-fast charging function, as well as a variety of power combinations such as two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. With reference to the power performance of the Kia EV9, the dual-motor version is expected to achieve the maximum power of the 283kW and the highest torque of 699Nm, with an acceleration time of 6 seconds at 100km. In addition, the new car is expected to be equipped with batteries with a capacity of 99.8kWh, providing about 483km mileage.
