CTOnews.com June 15, Microsoft officials recently updated the Microsoft Edge browser privacy white paper, responding to the "enhanced Picture" (Image Enhancement) private picture URL question.

Microsoft said the image was encrypted before it was sent to the Microsoft server and that the data sent did not contain a user identifier.

CTOnews.com attached an official description of Microsoft as follows:

To provide a better browsing experience, Microsoft Edge provides image enhancement by improving the color, lighting, contrast, and clarity of the image.

When image enhancement is enabled, Microsoft Edge encrypts the image and transmits it to the Microsoft server to perform image enhancement.

Requests to the server do not contain any user identifiers, and images are cached for 30 days to improve performance.

To control image enhancement, jump to edge://settings/privacy and turn enhanced Image on or off in the Microsoft Edge settings.
