CTOnews.com, June 15 (Xinhua)-- Apple invited developers and users to test the iOS 17 Beta 1 update after the WWDC 2023 developer conference on June 5. However, users reported that after upgrading to the new version, there was a problem of not being able to send SMS text messages to non-iPhone users.

CTOnews.com queried the Reddit community and Twitter social platform and found that several users reported that after upgrading to iOS 17 Beta 1, sending SMS text messages to non-iPhone owners would result in an "undelivered" error. IMessage messages sent by users are not affected.

Some users reported that these SMS messages had actually been sent to the recipient's phone, but the user could not confirm whether the other person had received the message without calling to confirm it.

One user left a message at the bottom of the post: "I have also encountered this problem. SMS SMS messages can be sent normally, but bam messages show failure, and the same text messages will be sent repeatedly. By the way, I am using AT&T 's network."
