CTOnews.com, June 15 (Reuters)-French President Emmanuel Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that he would meet with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Friday for the second time in more than a month. Macron wants Tesla to build a super factory in France, while also discussing the issue of technology regulation.

France has been trying to attract Chinese electric car giants BYD and Tesla to build factories in France, but France also faces competition from other EU countries, such as Spain, which is also in talks with Tesla, the source said.

"I went to this meeting for a purpose," Macron told reporters during a visit to the VivaTech summit in Paris. Musk will visit the VivaTech Summit, the largest science and technology exhibition in France, on Friday.

CTOnews.com noted that four super-factory projects have been attracted in northern France, the first of which opened last month, with investment from a consortium of Peugeot-Citroen, Mercedes-Benz and French oil giant Total Energy.
