CTOnews.com June 15, the latest news that British mobile operators Vodafone (Vodafone) and Three UK have reached an agreement to merge their operations in the UK. If British regulators approve the motion, the two companies will merge to become the largest operator in the UK.

CTOnews.com Note: the largest mobile operator in the UK is Virgin Media O2 with 24 million subscribers, followed by EE with 20 million subscribers.

Vodafone and Three UK, respectively third and fourth, will overtake Virgin Media O2 to become the largest mobile operator in the UK after the merger of 27 million customers.

The Competition and Market Administration (CMA) has stepped in to investigate, in particular, whether the merger will push up customer prices. Vodafone and Three claim the deal will be "good for customers, good for the country and good for competition", but CMA may not think so.
