The report released the list of "Vanguard 100th of China's ESG listed companies". The list uses Chinese companies listed on A shares and Hong Kong shares as of April 30, 2023 as a sample pool to evaluate these companies by ESG. The "Vanguard 100th" companies in the list are made up of the top 100 listed companies in the ESG index.

Two companies are at the five-star level and are models of ESG development of listed companies: China Mobile and China Resources Power.

Sixteen are at the five-star level and are outstanding in the development of ESG of listed companies: Sinopec, Baosteel, Geely Automobile, Tencent Holdings, TCL Central, etc.

77 are at the four-star and half-level level and are the leaders in the development of ESG of listed companies: Lenovo Group, Beijing Oriental A, China Telecom, Ningde Times, BYD, Xiaomi Group, Xiaopeng Automobile, Kuaishou-W, ZTE, etc.

Five companies are at the four-star level and have excellent overall ESG performance: Angang, Hegang, Tongwei, Baiyun Airport and Greenmei.

The report said that at present, ESG has entered a period of accelerated development in China. With the promotion of regulators, investment agencies, rating agencies, research institutions and other forces, the head listed companies have significantly improved their awareness of ESG and paid more and more attention to ESG work.
