Our research results show that the 15-inch model is also very popular with consumers in the mainstream PC notebook market.

Our research results show that some of our customers want a larger screen, but do not necessarily need MacBook Pro-level performance. The maturity of Apple Silicon chips brings great opportunities.

With regard to thickness, Kate Bergeron said the initial goal was to make the 15-inch MacBook Air as thick as the 13-inch MacBook Air, but eventually 11.5mm due to various factors.

He says one of the big things the team really needs to focus on is the reliability and durability of large screen sizes. LCD needs a display that is truly structurally sound. Therefore, we use a structural adhesive to connect the panel to the chassis we call the monitor housing.

Durability: Bergeron says there are many challenges in building the thinnest 15-inch laptop in the world.
