Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, June 13, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, the Hesi-2 satellite developed by the fifth aerospace institute Dongfanghong Satellite Co., Ltd. has been in stable operation in orbit for two years, successfully meeting the design life requirements.

According to reports, the satellite is the first micro-nano optical remote sensing satellite in the field of ocean color satellites in China. Since it was successfully launched and operated stably in orbit on June 11, 2021, the main observation areas are Fujian coastal waters, Xiamen Bay, as well as key coastal areas, rivers and lakes at home and abroad.

CTOnews.com inquiry found that the Hayes-2 satellite, developed by the Aerospace Dongfanghong General Administration, was successfully launched on June 11, 2021 from the Taiyuan Satellite launch Center with a long March 2d carrier rocket. Up to now, the Hayes-2 satellite ground system has processed a total of 28000 multi-scene data, with a cumulative imaging area of more than 1.1 billion square kilometers.

Public data show that "Hesi-2" has the characteristics of lightweight (65kg), high resolution (20m) and high signal-to-noise ratio (> 270,270). Taking the sea area of the Maritime Silk Road and key inland lakes and reservoirs as the main observation areas, together with the "Hesi-1" satellite launched on December 22, 2020, it provides valuable large-scale data support for Fujian's marine economy and the development of the area along Belt and Road Initiative.
