CTOnews.com, June 13, Toyota warmed up the next generation of C-HR. The new car, which will be officially launched on June 26, will be equipped with wide taillights and glowing rear signs.

According to reports, the new C-HR is similar to the new Toyota Prius, both models use the TNGA platform, and use the same type of hybrid and plug-in hybrid system.

We can simply understand that the C-HR hybrid model will be the Toyota Prius PHEV model, with 147bhp 2.0L four-cylinder engine and front 158bhp motor, the total output power is 221bhp, higher than the current (2.0L hybrid version) C-HR higher than 40bhp.

The exact parameters of the new car are not clear, but if the C-HR uses the same Prius 13.6kWh battery, it should be able to provide 50 miles of pure electric mileage.

Compared to the plug-in version, the hybrid version will be the 2.0L power-enhanced version currently used by the C-HR, which is expected to exceed the 50mpg in fuel economy and provide a slight increase in power to the 191bhp.

In addition to technological innovation, C-HR will also redesign the appearance, focusing on the "Hammerhead" front-end design. The following is a reference design for the concept car, and a similar look is expected for production cars.

Toyota has not yet confirmed the existence of pure electric C-HR, but considering the similarity between C-HR 's TNGA platform and pure electric E-TNGA architecture, it means that it is highly technically feasible.

The pricing of the new car is not clear, but foreign media believe that the electric C-HR model may be much more expensive than hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, starting at about 40000 pounds.
