As Shadow of the past opens its pre-order, we hope to update the current system requirements to give players a better understanding of how Cyberpunk 2077 needs to be run, so that people can evaluate the expected performance of the game. The next update to the original game will be released in at least 90 days, when these changes will take effect. And will also be used in the Shadow of the past.

The new system requirements are proposed to make them more responsive to the needs of new technologies and to add support for a new generation of GPU that is not yet on the market when the game is released. And for a specific in-game preset scheme, strive to achieve an output resolution of 1080p or 4K.

The change to the minimum requirements shows that we have put forward a new standard for the system requirements. We think it can better represent the minimum configuration required for a computer to run games at an average of 30 FPS with a 1080p resolution and a low preset solution. Updating system requirements is a very important part of improving game performance, as well as strengthening and adding new features.

One of the changes is that mechanical hard drives are no longer supported at a minimum. In contrast, SSDs provide faster reading speed, improved streaming, and better overall performance.

It is important to emphasize that this does not mean that the game cannot be run in the previous minimum configuration. However, after the next update of the original game, we will no longer proactively support these configurations or test the game on these configurations.
