CTOnews.com June 12-Accounting professional services firm KPMG conducted a survey of 1035 American white-collar workers between April and May about generative AI (AIGC). Recently, the agency published the results of this survey.

According to KPMG China, 57% of people believe that generative AI"does not pose a direct threat to their jobs," and only 19% are "quite worried that AIGC makes their job role irrelevant." At the same time, 40% of respondents believe they still have more than a year to deal with AI threats to their jobs.

In terms of details, KPMG found that millennials (born 1981-1996) and Generation Z (born 1997-2012) were most worried about AI endangering their jobs, accounting for 48% and 44% respectively. However, the older generations, Generation X (born 1965- 80) and Baby Boomers (born 1946- 64), were slightly less worried, at 39 percent and 35 percent, respectively.

Pexels also surveyed 225 U.S. executives. According to the survey results, 76% of executives believe that the widespread use of generative AI will have a "positive impact" on IT and software-related jobs, creative positions and customer service positions.

CTOnews.com notes that Checkr, another survey agency, conducted a survey on similar topics, which showed that 82% of US millennials were worried that AI would lead to lower job salaries out of 3000 respondents, up from 78% of overall respondents.
