However, Sony's OLEDoS panel production capacity is limited, only 900000 pieces a year, which means that Apple can only ship hundreds of thousands of Vision Pro next year at most.
The Vision Pro, which sells for as much as $3499 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 24948 yuan), is not friendly to the average consumer, which limits its sales and makes Apple more focused on avoiding shipping defective products.
According to sources, Apple asked Sony to expand its production capacity of OLEDoS panels, but was refused. Therefore, if Apple wants to increase its Vision Pro shipments, it needs to find new suppliers of OLEDoS panels.
At present, in addition to Sony, there are other manufacturers such as China's Vision Technology (SeeYA Technology) that make OLEDoS panels, but Apple is unlikely to use suppliers other than Sony. Another possible candidate is LG Display, but the South Korean display panel maker has not yet set up an OLEDoS production line.
In addition, Apple uses an OLEDoS panel with a white OLED and a color filter. Samsung, on the other hand, shows that it is developing an OLEDoS technology that uses red, green and blue OLED. As a result, Apple may change the OLEDoS technology it uses in Vision Pro in the future.
The Vision Pro is equipped with two Micro OLED screens with a total of 23 million pixels and a monocular resolution of more than 4K. Micro OLED, also known as silicon-based OLED, is a new display technology for the fabrication of active luminescent OLED devices on single crystal silicon wafers. It is an innovative upgrade of OLED to improve the screen window effect. It is reported that compared with the traditional LCD and OLED,Micro OLED, which have the characteristics of high resolution, low power consumption, high brightness, high contrast, high color saturation, fast reaction speed, thin thickness and long life, the power consumption can be as low as 10% of LCD and 50% of OLED. However, due to the high cost of large area silicon-based and complex production process, the cost of Micro OLED is relatively high.

Micro LED is still at a bottleneck, but is expected to outperform Micro OLED in the medium to long term.
