Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, June 11 (Xinhua)-- Apple is already developing 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M3 chips, which are expected to be released in 2024, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said.
It is reported that the current 13-inch MacBook Air will be released in June 2022, while the 15-inch model will go on sale next week. Both models currently use M2 chips based on TSMC's 5nm process.
With regard to the M3 chip, it is reported that it will be manufactured using TSMC's 3nm process to improve performance and energy efficiency. Gurman said the M3 chip should have a similar number of CPU and GPU cores to the M2 chip.
In addition, Gurman also said that new iMac and 13-inch MacBook Pro models with M3 series chips are also under development. He expects the new iMac to be launched early next year, with a design similar to that of the M1 model launched in 2020.
The 15-inch MacBook Air is now available for order and will go on sale from Tuesday, June 13. It will be available in midnight, starry sky, silver and deep sky gray, starting at 10499 yuan and educational discounts starting at 9699 yuan.
