It is understood that the digital RMB hard wallet is issued by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Chu Tianlong undertakes the task of research and development and production. Applicants need to register under their real name and bind the soft wallet of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in the personal digital RMB App to complete the application. The digital RMB hard wallet has a unique hardware wallet number and stores coin strings in the backstage system of the issuer.

CTOnews.com previously reported that the people's Bank of China has launched digital RMB pilot projects in some areas in 17 provinces. In 2022, all pilot areas carried out nearly 30 digital RMB consumption red envelope activities around the themes of "promoting consumption" and "low-carbon travel".

As of August 31, 2022, there were a total of 360 million transactions in digital RMB pilot areas, with a total amount of 100.04 billion yuan, and more than 5.6 million stores supported digital RMB.
