CTOnews.com June 11-Tesla's charging system has been praised for its simplicity, ease of use and efficiency. Recently, a growing number of car manufacturers and charging device providers announced support for Tesla's NACS charging standard, which Tesla renamed its charging interface in 2022. NACS differs from CCS, which is commonly used in Europe and Asia, in that it has no moving parts, is smaller and more powerful, and can provide a better charging experience for drivers.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Ford, General Motors (GM), ABB E-mobility and other well-known companies have decided to adopt the NACS standard in their electric vehicles and provide corresponding equipment in their charging networks. EverCharge, a professional charging hardware and software provider, also announced that it will fully support the NACS standard throughout its charging network. EverCharge said in its blog that CCS standard is not the best choice, it is too heavy and performance is not satisfactory. Tesla's NACS standard, by contrast, is superior.

Jason Appelbaum, founder and CEO of EverCharge, made the same point on his LinkedIn page, arguing that the growing popularity of NACS standards means that a domino effect has begun to occur and more people are beginning to realize the superiority of NACS standards. EverCharge is honored to support this shift and looks forward to more automakers joining in.

The widespread adoption of Tesla's NACS standard among U.S. automakers is a huge win for Tesla, which could soon become the mainstream charging standard in North America as companies and agencies such as Ford, General Motors, ABB E-mobility and EverCharge switch to the NACS standard.
