The company has two servers, and the configuration is OK. It is a waste to install winserver and linux operating systems separately in a test environment for developers. It is planned to install PVE on these two servers to form two simple PVE clusters to make full use of resources. Later, you can also do related testing or cloud desktop use for other colleagues. Here is a record of one of the machines, win2012, which uses vmware's converter to migrate P2V. The specific operations are as follows:

Install VMware-converter-en-5.1.0-1087880 on my work desktop virtual machine (win10) on the same local area network. Note that this version matches my virtualized environment version 5.1. The Baidu network disk of the installer shares the link address:

Run after installing converter, as shown below:

The original system is configured above, and the convert program will first deploy the agent to the target server, and continue as follows:

Select next, and then configure the target system:

Click "next" and the converter program will connect to the target's ESXI.

Click "Next" to configure the target virtual machine as follows:

Click "Next" to continue with the configuration:

Click "Edit" to configure the parameters to be adjusted:

Click "Next":

After confirming the summary information above, click "Finish". If you find any configuration that needs to be modified, click "Back" to go back to modify it. Click "Finish" to start the migration, as shown below:

After waiting for approximately 1 hour, the migration is complete, and then, open the migrated virtual machine to see if it is normal:

Startup is normal, migration is successful! After entering the system, we can see that the network automatically obtains the IP address and changes it to a static address.

After migrating the winserver 2012, the developer will see if there are any omissions in the migration, such as folders, applications and so on. After confirming that there is no problem, start shoveling the operating system of this server and install our PVE environment.
