At noon on June 10, Beijing time, Oracle is seeking to reach a cloud AI agreement with Canadian language model company Cohere.

It is understood that Oracle plans to make an alliance with Cohere to catch up with larger cloud computing competitors that sell services based on large language models.

According to sources, Oracle executive Steve Miranda told employees that the company plans to sell access to the Cohere large language model, similar to the access to OpenAI software purchased by thousands of Microsoft cloud customers, who can perform tasks automatically.

Miranda told employees that Oracle also plans to use Cohere software to add AI capabilities to its human resources and supply chain management applications, just as Microsoft uses OpenAI software to power automation in Office 365 applications.
