CTOnews.com, June 10, according to the latest report released by market research firm Counterpoint Research, under the leadership of iPhone, the proportion of smartphones with OLED screens reached 49% in the first quarter of 2023, up from 29% in the first quarter of 2020.

Tuyuan Counterpoint Research reports that the proliferation of smartphones with OLED screens is largely due to the iPhone 12 series with OLED panels, which is a turning point for OLED phones.

It is reported that Apple uses OLED panels in all subsequent iPhone models except the SE, and the adoption of this display technology is increasing with each iteration of the device.

The report also points out that 94% of smartphones selling for more than $250 use OLED panels in the first quarter of 2023.
