Framework said that previously, due to the limitations of the main control chip, the USB-C charger generally reached a maximum of about 140W, including Apple, Lenovo savior and so on. With the development of the main control chip, some manufacturers have launched products that support USB PD 3.1EPR standard, so the power of USB-C gallium nitride charger is expected to continue to soar.

According to reports, the size of the charger is 116.6 x 58.2 x 27 mm. The shell is made of 30% recycled plastic, which is twice the size of the original 60W charger and is equipped with a detachable two-meter long cable.

In terms of internal hardware, the charger uses Weltrend WT6676F, ON Semi NCP1622 and JoulWatt JW1556 control chips, Qunguang OEM, and claims that the conversion efficiency is as high as 93%.

In addition, the maximum extended power of USB PD 3.1has been raised to 240W, which means the 240W charger is on its way. Framework official said that they may inadvertently become the first manufacturer to ship more than 140W USB-PD 3.1chargers.
